The time has come, your mattress is giving you backache and that old frame no longer matches your new bed, or no longer fits through the door of your new house. You need a new bed and you’re overwhelmed by the choice out there. Here are a few tips on buying a new bed, whether for the first time or the twenty-first time.

Do
Take your partner along if you’re going to be sharing. You don’t want his feet hanging off the end and you don’t want to be too crowded – room to spread out a little is always good.
Check the measurements. You don’t want to choose the perfect, comfiest bed in the shop only to find it won’t go through your door.
Think about storage. If you have a small room, under bed storage can be ideal for keeping linens, clothes, shoes – even toys, if you’re shopping for a kid’s bed. A bed should work as a space saver if storage is at a premium.
Ask for advice. If you’re not sure, ask. Staff are usually knowledgeable about the beds they sell and they will be able to make suggestions. Make sure you tell them exactly what you’re looking for to ensure you receive the best recommendations.
Check delivery times. Most stores will offer a variety of times to ensure minimum disruption to your day.

Don’t
Buy a new mattress for an old base. This may sound ideal, but if you’re having an uncomfortable night, it’s unlikely to be just your mattresses fault. This won’t help.
Make a snap buying decision for your bed. There’s no hurry. Make sure you choose a bed that will last and that you will be comfortable in. Choose carefully and listen to advice.
Make your choice based on just the price. There are a lot of great bargains available, but they can be made with cheaper materials that simply won’t last and you might end up paying more in the long run. Design and comfort are important as well. Click here for beds from dreams.co.uk, the UK’s leading bed specialist

As many kids who grew up with siblings know, sometimes there isn’t enough room for everyone to have their own bedroom in the house. Having to share a bedroom with your brother or sister can make for some really awesome or some really horrible times, depending on your moods. But the best part that some kids look forward to is the use of a bunk bed.

Now days, you can find bunk beds in various sizes but as children we had one size, twin over twin. These beds were the doorways to the imagination. They can be a double decker bus going through London, upstairs and downstairs apartments or even a rocket ship on its way to Mars. No matter the destination, modern bunk beds have several options for your kids to use in their many adventures.

Because of the fact that bunk beds come in different sizes you can find a mattress that works best for it. You may even be able to buy memory foam mattresses to put in the bunk bed frames to allow your children a great night’s sleep without having to toss and turn the nights away. Bunk beds no longer come in just twin over twin but also twin over double which are great for those nights where they have friends stay over for an overnight adventure.

Most bunk beds come with slat enforced frames which are best for coil spring mattresses. You can find a great deal on these types of mattresses from many different manufacturers and can even get free delivery to get a quick replacement for those mattresses that have seen hundreds of night’s worth of sleep. So whether you bunk bed is made to be strictly bed over bed or even the type of bunk beds that can separate into individual beds, you can the mattress you child needs both on the internet and in many mattress shops. So help them on their way to making their next bedtime adventure a great one. Visit http://www.bedcentre.co.uk/ for more information.

There are certain moments in life where giving that special person in your life a gift of flowers. Some are days of great importance to you both and your relationship. Some are days such as her birthday or a special day just for her. And then there are the days, were in the interest of self-preservation, flowers are needed to help when saying, “I’m Sorry”.

The “I’m Sorry” bouquet should include flowers that you know she loves and makes her smile. Its purpose is to help her forgive you, whether or not you were the one who did wrong. This is only the case if the relationship is something you want to work at and make last forever. On the other side of the flower coin, you can just buy that special person a bouquet of flowers just because you want to. This goes a long way in just showing them how much you care about them.

Another good time to give flowers to that special person is on your anniversary. It doesn’t matter which one. It shows them that even the smallest anniversaries such as first kiss, first date, or something like your first romantic getaway as a couple. Even the smallest gestures can make a big difference.

Sending them a special flower arrangement for their birthday is another time where giving flowers will score some major relationship points. Not only does it show them that their birthday is special to you as well as them but it is a great way to show their co-workers just how special you think she is.

Another great time to show up bearing a gift of flowers is on date night. This tradition is something that is rarely seen now days but should make a comeback. Show them that chivalry isn’t dead. Make the extra effort to come to the door, hand them their special bouquet, open the car door for them and be the perfect date partner.

Whatever the occasion, visit http://www.aryanflorist.com and pick from a range of flowers for all occasions. It may be something different than what they are used to but it shows them that you are will to go the extra mile for them. No matter the reason, flowers can be the perfect gift to brighten their day and show them how much they truly mean to you.

You’ve been bitten by the gardening bug, and you’ve got it bad! Your family and friends love the fresh produce and the healthy meals you’ve created. You enjoy the feeling of working close to nature, learning its rhythms and getting your hands more than a little dirty. Now your imagining how you can go even further with the whole “urban farmer” thing. Can you keep your own poultry? What about bees? How hard could it be? And how could you learn?

Poultry Keeping: Don’t Be Chicken!

MyGardenSchool’s video course on poultry keeping, “How to Keep Hens in Your Garden,” is a four-weeks-long series taught by author and hen enthusiast Francine Raymond. In these lessons, she’ll teach you how to choose the right hens for your needs, garden size, and family. You’ll learn where to house them, what to feed them, and how to recognize when vet care might be necessary. Ms. Raymond keeps hens herself and is well-aware of the challenges new poultry-keepers experience and provides workable solutions for common concerns. Her course celebrates the natural link between your garden, the hens, and the table. Hens will eat many common garden pests and, with their appetite for seeds, keep the weed population down; their droppings make excellent fertiliser. The fresh eggs they provide are a healthy bonus, as is the benefit your family receives from interacting with them. For more information about this inspiring course, as well as a video preview, visit my-garden-school.com/course/how-to-keep-hens-in-your-garden.

The Buzz on Beekeeping

Beekeeping isn’t just for elderly detectives on the Sussex Downs. You can bring honeybees into your garden for natural pollination and the occasional honey treat. This course, presented by beekeeper Philip Chandler, emphasizes natural beekeeping, or keeping bees for themselves, rather than to produce honey on a large scale. The four-week series covers the natural history of bees, their complex societies, and how they interact with flowering plants, obtaining nourishment and conducting pollination.

You’ll learn how to construct a top-bar beehive using reclaimed materials and simple carpentry skills, and how to obtain and add bees, and how to manage and “supervise” them safely, and with the least possible interference. The course director recommends that students take advantage of local beekeeping societies to observe and learn more about beekeeping, hands-on, with experienced keepers. For more information and a preview, go to my-garden-school.com/course/introduction-to-natural-beekeeping.

After centuries of living as part of the natural world, we’ve gradually distanced ourselves from it. MyGardenSchool.com provides expert-led, affordable courses on how you and your family can experience the joys and healthy benefits of living closer to nature, whether you live in an urban flat or a rural cottage. Visit our website to learn more!
